What is the difference between full estate administration and probate?

What is the difference between full estate administration and probate?

When someone passes away, the task of dealing with their affairs is referred to as estate administration. This includes valuing all assets and liabilities of the estate, paying any inheritance tax due, applying for probate and then distributing the assets in accordance with the will (or if there is not will then under the rules of intestacy).

For more complex estates we would recommend using our full estate administration service, especially if there is an inheritance tax liability or if there are trusts involved. If the estate is fairly simple and straightforward you may prefer to just use our highly respected probate service and then deal with the majority of the administration yourself. Kwil will be pleased to chat to you and advise you of the package that will be most suitable for your circumstances.
